I was just wondering what is the most important concern of everyone right now. Without deep thought and right off the top of your head, what worries you the most?

Say goodbye to our beloved planet. Because there is
alot more money to be made in emitting greenhouse
gasses, than curtailing emissions.

Get out of the box, then recycle it.

As of yet, there seems to be a statistically insignificant sample. (Two votes) So the results look kind of weird.

I'm the econo-worrier.

#3 is going to be hard to beat given the current financial climate. I think #5 & #6 are intrinsically linked, and if solved could help to resolve #3.

EDIT: #1, #2, #4, and #7 are intrinsically linked too.

I voted climate change. I don't know if global warming is caused by man or not, but I am sure we are helping. Environment is the most important in the long run.

I voted for alternative energy, but climate change also falls under the same category. There are so many things that could hurt us if we don't reduce/eliminate our oil consumption.

where's the none of the above option?

I'm not worried about anything, I'd rather spend my time focusing on the good in my own life, than worry about all of the world's problems, which really, don't even mean anything.

This is a gotcha poll. What do we have if we do not have a habitable planet? priorities...it'll get down to the most basic of all. What are we going to do without our planet? IMHO: the results speak for why there is a climate problem. I awoke this AM, wondering what the world is thinking will happen if we go into a non stoppable climate
shift that takes down (and it's happening) the first rung in the food chain. And....we are eliminating our new fresh oxygen supply on an unprcidented scale. These poll results thus far illustrate why. jobs and finance are of #1 concern. Beleive me, we can survive without our economy. I've done it. We can susrvive just fine without society, I've done it. We cannot buy another habitable planet. If anyone believes I'm crazy or wrong for that matter, please ask yourself why you believe/fear what you do compared to me. Buying things, isn't as important as this:

I don't worry. My major concern is the lack of investment in research and development, and the environment issue would be one particular case. All the the things that newer better technologies get hung up on... it's maddening.
