Theres this girl the one I have spoken about may times.

She has been underway since November 17th in the Pacific. I haven't heard anything from her in a month so I sent her an email what I got back truly has disturbed me. "Something happened when I was in Costa Rica. I'm not in trouble or anything. Its hard to deal with... I won't lie it's very hard. I will call you when I get in port which is soon."

I haven't had a good nights sleep since I got this email. I am beside myself with worry that someone hurt her. My stomach feels like I am about to throw up all the time. I think that I am going to loose it here because there is nothing I can do to help her from where I am at. I spoke with my college professor who has a PHD in psychology with a focus on criminal behavior and she gave me some good suggestions. But I feel sick to my stomach now.

Don't get too emotional. She said "something happened" not "something happened to me"...big difference. Dude, I spent 22 years in the Air Force and now I'm a Navy Civilian, we are under so many rules it hard for something really bad to happen. The two man rule, shore patrol out the ass....I think it was a case of what happens TDY stays TDY. But, she want's to talk to you about it so she thinks a lot of you. yeah, I hate to admit that my first thought was along the same lines. But I'm totally in a real negative mindspace lately and can't seem to produce anything possitive out of the two brain cells I have left.

Yup, stay positive. No sense squandering the moments that could be worthwhile by worrying about what may, or may not be. Easy to say, hard to do. I know I have to keep my cool if someone hurt her, the best action is to let the legal system do its job. Plus the military legal system is much stricter than the civilian.

Yea I know, she was underway so it was either a port call or something that happened with her ship. A lot of the things that we talk about we can not talk about over military email because its very personal items.
