Now that we know both VP picks of the two major parties, who would you vote for?

(Poll incoming and will be made private since the ballot will be private. Hell, I don't want to be heckled when I vote for Bob Ba... er Barack.)

Obama and fiery old white dude here.

No worries. I debated about putting a "Not American" option and in hindsight probably should have. Anyhoo, looking forward to the Canadian only election thread.

I actuality, I'd probably vote for Obama, if anyone, but for poll purposes, the Libertarians have always had a place in my heart.

At this point I'm leaning towards McCain, but more for philosophical reasons than any real love for the man personally. At heart I'm just moderately conservatively socially, and very conservative fiscally. A Democrat could work for me (as Bill Clinton did), but at this point I'm not sure Obama is that Democrat. Either way I'm not going to cry come November. Obama will have a lot to prove should he become president so I'm sure he'd be fine.

I'm a conservative, but considering leaning for Obama. This country needs a shake-up for the political parties, and voting in McCain won't do it. If Obama is elected, it is a big f-you to both the Democrat and Republican "party bosses". Americans would have rejected having a Clinton essentially forced down our throats, and a man who is one-foot-in-the-grave and is essentially a continuation of the Bush policies.

Yes. The problem is Obama is not fiscally conservative, if he gets elected he will promise that you can have your cake and eat it too. The economy is recovering and he would start taxing people and screw up our recovery.

I make myself laugh.

They all promise that. It's all in Congress' perview anyway. The Prez only gets to veto the whole thing if he doesn't like a part of it. McCain is overpromising on what he can deliver, fiscally, as well. At this point, I'll go with Obama for no other reason than he gives great speech. That is literally all I can ask for in a President, nowadays.

Not trying to compare him to Obama at all, but Hitler gave great speeches too.
