Is there any particular industry or anything that anyone here would prefer over anything else?

I find that I'm leaning more and more to the trades/physical labour. I'm sick of customer service, and tech jobs are really unappealling.

Mmm, bacon.

I like what I'm doing (contruction trades) but if I had it all to do over again? I'd have stayed in school and completed my architechtural degree or , at least become an electrician.

Until now, never!before in Earth history, has mass extinction involved a choice.

Oh...job? I'll make necklaces out of the beautiful seashells I find.

Lamborghini test driver. There is a job like that. I saw it on the National Geographic Channel.

BUUUUT....What i would LOVE to do is be an undercover cop in my Camry, so no one would suspect. Then i can catch all the shitty/dangerous drivers down here in miami. All those shitheads that take reds, tailgate, cut people off, run stop signs. Just cuz they dont see a cop around. But then i'd put my lights on and know that they'd be shitting their pants. Then i can make them feel stupid and ask them what is so important that they needed to do whatever dumbass thing they did. These people need a good scare.

Shut your mouth and think it out.

Best job? Towel boy at a strip club. Or in the porn industry of course...

I like what I do a lot. IT support, project work. It's not too physical, I get to travel a lot, the pay is pretty good, and I think the industry has a good future.

But the boom industry of the next 30 years is going to be medicine. Nursing in particular is going to be in high demand.

I thought going into school that I would just my bachelors so I could get into law school. Now I'm thinking that I might want to get my doctorate so I could do research and teach.

Same here...almost got into the FBI but didn't have the work experience required when I tested. For some reason they allowed me to test knowing the lack of qualifications I had at that point, I guess they were just looking at a broad pool and if that pool didn't have what they wanted then I'd be looked at.

Perfect. Fuck. Ok stay here and get... butt fucked by 12 Neanderthals. Bitch

Film Industry... Director or Sound Design/Mixing/Editing. Or foley, cause that shit's awesome.

Step one: Cut a hole in a box.

go for transportation captain. You get to be a teamster.

I'd like to be a real film producer, not just one for an indie company (which I am). I want to get paid.

Astronaught might be cool, but i'm probably too lazy for that rigid self-maintainance.

in which case, middle manager in a good r&d dept. where i get to see cool ideas made, and snag some tech before it's publically available. <_<

I'm indifferent to what I do as a job, as long as it pays well enough to support a family.

My job as a writer for a car magazine kinda falls in that category, but I've tested a lot more minivans and econo boxes than exotic sports cars hehe
