Who will you vote for?

Post write-ins if you want. This is more focused towards the 2 main candidates

I don't know why we're bothering with a poll. It's pretty much common knowledge that Tweak is at least 75-80% liberal. It would be like me polling the business professionals I work with - it would be a conservative landslide and only confirm what I already know.

I've been told on here a couple of times that polls don't matter.

I'm not voting. I find it useless as we always end up with one crappy democrat and one crappy republican running. If I had to choose, I'd choose Obama/Bidden. But Ron Paul and Bob Barr, for example, are better candidates.

That's good, I support your decision...

Polls showed Kerry was going to win in 2004. My Mom called me this morning in Chicago and said "The pollsters keep calling to ask who I'm voting for and I tell them "none of your business"". I'm the same way, unless I'm with close friends and family I don't discuss religion or politics. Whereas most of my liberal friends have the fucking bumper stickers and blather on about it ad nauseum. Anyway, I think that's what slants the polls so hard to the left before an election.

Cool don't vote. Just don't complain when something happens throughout the course of the administration (either side) that you disagree with. Just suck it up and keep your hole shut.

No, no, no. He should feel comfortable abstaining from voting and then complaining about it later. This is America after all...

He would vote for Obama you fool, shut up!

that's ridiculous. i didn't vote for bush but i still complain. I've never understood that just because someone doesn't vote, it means they aren't allowed to complain about the bad things in this country? that makes no sense and is anti-american.

you seem to think that our vote actually means something. what the hell is voting for Bob Barr going to do? he is not going to get elected even though he would be 10000 times better a president than the two candidates we have. don't you think it's a tad odd that every time it's election time, the actual good candidates get shoved to the side while the "best" republican candidate and the "best" democrat candidate are left? that's not by mistake, that's by design.

mccain or obama will win. neither of them is REALLY going to make a difference in the long run. we need a drastically different candidate to change anything around here.

and if you think voting for Bob Barr is somehow sending a message to the "higher ups", you are sadly mistaken. They could care less. Most people don't even know how Bob Barr is, let alone will "waste" their vote on him. the powers that be make sure they give us candidates that they want.

unless you are a die hard mccain or obama fan, then it's a waste to vote.

Our Canadian elections are coming up too (who cares) and I won't be voting. In fact, I've never voted. I take the stance that I'm not interested in politics and thus don't understand it. If I don't understand it, I have no right to voice myself; so I don't vote.

But I understand by not voting I remove my rights to complain about government/etc and I have no problem with that. Why should I? I didn't contribute to the democracy after all

So you're saving your vote because using it now would be a waste? McCain or Obama can't or wont change anything and you're holding out for..........?

It's not ridiculous to say that if you don't vote you don't have a right to bitch unless, you CAN'T vote in the first place. It's no different then bitching about what was served for dinner. Mom or Dad asked you earlier, do you want chicken or fish and you said "I don't like either." Well fish was served so I don't think you have the right to complain. That's where I'm coming from.

i understand what you are saying tacdriver, i just don't agree with it. i think if mom offered chicken or fish and i wanted neither and she made fish, I'd complain lol. and you are sorta proving a point of mine that "mom" is only giving us two options. why should there only be two options? Sure, I could tell mom that I want turkey but mom won't listen.

and i'm not necessarily holding out for anyone. every election, there are good candidates at the very beginning but they are weeded out. every election we end up with basically the same two candidates. with 300million plus people in this country, you'd think we would have more than the same two people every election.

and thank you integra. that's how i feel as well. america is supposed to based on freedom. and thus I have the freedom to note vote but still complain. i know me complaining won't do anything. it never will. that's obvious with the extremely low approval rating of bush and congress. they could EASILY have a very high approval rating if they cared what the american people want. but they don't. they only care about themselves.

Well, since you can write-in anybody...

Washington/Jefferson

That's right bitches, I'm going WAY oldschool with my write-ins.
