Except for the half ass attempt with the controller. I mean everything about it was nice and he did a good job but just didn't follow it all the way through.

Seriously though, I tried searching for other sites that had this hosted but couldn't find one (although I know there is at least one alternative url out there, I just didn't bother copying it at the time).

wtf is wrong with using a factory-made controller though? I think it makes it look neat personally...

It would be like restoring an old car by hand and having it almost finished looking like it was brand new and then putting plastic hub caps on it. It just cheapens the whole thing.

Not to mention that by adding the prefab controller and having it sit on the top like that makes it look like an after thought.

If you are going to build a mame cabinet do it right and follow through till the end.

You wouldn't build an ultimate gaming machine and buy all highend components, a top of the line video card, 7.1 surround sound speakers, a ton of memory, ultra fast 150GB sata 10,000 rpm hard drives and top it off with a 15" crt would you?

i dont think that falls into same lines as a mame arcade unit..plus i dont really get the console bitchen because my mame arcade cpu has all console titles too
n64 and all that jazz...i built about 3 unit"not for me" but i have something on my side i use to repair arcade/pinball for part time job. so i know where to get all good stuff cheap.
