Alright gang my car insurance liability coverage is laughable and my insurance agent has always bugged me to increase them. I think its something like 25k/30k/30k
(bodily injury per person/bodily injury per incident/property damage per incident)

I know that is a scary low amount and wanted to find out what coverage you guys have to get a better idea of how much to increase mine.

I was thinking going to:

100k/300k/75k

What do you think?

Bodily Injury Limits - $25,000/$50,000
Property Damage Limit - $10,000
Underinsured Motorist Bodily Injury Limits - $25,000/$50,000
Underinsured Motorist Property Damage Limits - $10,000 w/ $100 DED

2007 Kia Optima has:
Comprehensive Coverage & Deductibles - $500 deductible
Collision Coverage & Deductibles - $1,000 deductible

1992 Ford Explorer just had liability

pay $256/month. Policy with my g/f. I'm 24 and she's 22.

at this point in my life, I'll take the risk with not as good coverage and be screwed later if something happens. I can barely afford the insurance as it is anyways, let alone if I had better coverage. At least I can squeak by and afford it though. There was a time or two where I couldn't. If you can afford it, get whatever you want.

No towing, no rental, no medical coverage, no roadside service.
Full coverage on my 01 Honda Insight
Liability on my 92 Talon TSI AWD

I can't remember my limits, but they're about midway up the scale. I do have uninsured motorist protection.

I pay about $100/month from eSurance for both cars.

I've got 100/300k as required by my lease. I think my insurance is around ~$200/month for the wife and I with both our cars covered - 2007 Miata and a 2008 Acura TSX - through Progressive.

35/70/50 on liability, 500 deduct on comp/col.
Hartford (through AARP suckahs) was 85/mo full coverage on '06 G6GT and '06 Canyon 2X4. Then the wife got a friggin speeding ticket (78 in a 65) and it got jacked by 30/mo, so $115/month for full coverage on both rigs.

Heh, I just checked my moms coverage:

250/500/100
uninsured: 250/500

Pays $300 every 6 months. I guess thats what you pay when you are old/drive a 1997 corolla/no comprehensive.

I think I will increase mine to:

100/300/75 (too many 7series/S class cars in this area)

Btw I currently pay 600 every 6 months for a 2006 honda civic with comprehensive. I will report back with how much of an increase I am looking at.

Thanks for your responses, they were highly valued.
