This counts forks, spoons, cups, plates, glasses, etc. Pots count as 2x if you're that lazy and may god have mercy on your soul.

I have two small plates, one big plate, two mugs, a bowl, a spoon, and a fork. I just ate breakfast though and drank some water so I guess that's most of it. It's all under 24 hours old. My excuse is that I work here, too. What's yours?

For clarification: dishes on your floor, bookcase, hutch, or nightstand also count. Anything within about 8 feet of you that's not a sink.

There was no "0" option, so I put one for the ashtray

6 things right now. Two plates and forks to match, two used glasses to match the two plates, and a few other glasses I got for Christmas that I didn't count.

I don't have any. At most I have a cup a plate with toast. I used to eat some of my breakfast while I checked my email, but now that I moved to a new place the computer is upstairs from the kitchen, so I don't bother.

I keep a clean space.

Zero. I generally only snack at my desk (peanut butter mostly), and when I do I clean up immediately. I'm more than a little bit OC...

None, but one of my roommates used to be a total slob. We could almost fill the dishwasher with what he had laying around his desk.

Well, I have a cup of coffee now, so I guess I should change my vote to "1". On second thought I generally have one beverage at all times.

All I see is a black hole, and sooner or later they’re going to suck each one of us into it. But when they come for me, I'm going to take as many of them with me as I can.

I usually have one mug on my desk, two at the most.

Shut your mouth and think it out.
