Fire and brimstone, baby!

I know bigwill is feeling this, as are my fellow central east coasters. There have been crazy thunderstorms for the past few days but since last night it's looked like death outside.

National Alert Map from WeatherBug.com

That's my local vista weatherbug alert. I just bought $150 worth of fish and shrimp today for my new aquarium so I swear if the power goes out and they all die...

ya the weather certainly continues to be crazy. here in the seattle area, we had thunder and lightning. we pretty much never have that. and of course, the weather here can be cold and rainy and hot and sunny all in the same day...

It's raining too hard for me to go out in my car. It's lowered with a cold air intake... hydrolock city. I've already blown the motor once and almost a second time but luckily saved it by pulling the spark plugs out and letting things dry for a day. I'll definitely pick one up these days.

But what are you some kind of generator salesman MSP?

Does it get very humid out there david? I always thought cali was a high heat, low humidity climate (mediterranean) that got cold in the evenings.

Yeah, it's pretty low humidity. I'm somewhat close to him and it's 101 here with 20% humidity. I'm closer to the bay, so I think the nights get cooler here than in Sacramento, but when we have heatwaves like this it doesn't actually get cool until close to 3am.

Yeah, it's been nuts today. We're getting some of the hardest rain I've ever seen and it sounds like bombs are dropping.

The last few nights have REALLY sucked. I tried going to bed at 11, didnt happen! I usually fall asleep in like 10-15 minutes but the past couple of nights have been rediculous, been falling asleep around 12:45-1, so i've been getting like 6-7 hours of sleep. Its been definitely alot more Humid than normal the past couple of nights, feels like a sauna outside (especially when I got done at the gym last night at 10:30, it was one of those nights where you could wear nothing and would still feel warm), its normally not this bad, bleh. I'm just glad I have a job that's inside with A/C. The windows open at night + fan does no good.

I love cali heat. It was 100+ the other day, and I still went outside on my breaks to sit in the shade.

But i think im just a freak.

It hit 107+ today, and Im actually not digging it as much.

It hit 112 in Elsinore last week. It was close to that in Riverside. I like the heat and all, but once you pass 100 it starts to get uncomfortable.

Yesterday was the day to be at my favorite coastal town: Brookings; it was 108. here it was 97 in the shade and 107 in the sun. Today's supposed to be hotter. This is typical for this time of year. In April, though, we had one week of snow, one week of 95-101, then back to a week of snow4....that was crazy weather. I have plans to score one of those duracell backups, and even a 2-cycle gen if I can get the 2 cycle I have to run on HHO. I got it to foire, but my output wasn't enough to keep it running. Sounded sweet when I pulled the recoil and it fired right up. Didn't sound so sweet when it hick-upped and blew the top off of my bubbler. It will run better if I can retard the timing or slow the combustion a bit. BTW, I scored a freebee ac/dc tv off of craigslist yesterday. I ran it off of battery power and it works great!
i'll have to put in for one of those $40 vouchers for a Dv convertor from the US guv though. Or, I may take one of my old DVD players and convert it to run on straight 12vDC. The electronics already run on 12vdc, I just need to condition the power spikes with a cap and bypass the rectifier in the DVD player, then I can hook all my cams and camcorder up to it. DIY battery power FTW!

Say goodbye to our beloved planet. Because there is
alot more money to be made in emitting greenhouse
gasses, than curtailing emissions.

Get out of the box, then recycle it.
