first on stage was Hate Eternal. not much to see, typical death metal

after they left the stage the guy was giving away some CDs and I snatched one!!! It's Darkane's "Layer of Lies" CD!! never heard their stuff but I'm familiar with the name.

as soon as Nevermore came on....

the place went apeshit!! it was more intense because they were playing at their hometown

and guess what? I was in the front row!! the stage was low so I was close enough that when they do headbangs my devil horn hands touch them. I was banging my head so fucking hard it was so fucking intense!!! i have a headache!!

one more thing, they were videotaping for their upcoming DVD!!!!!!!!!! I was in the very front row going crazy during every song so I'm probably gonna be in the DVD

this was their setlist:
Final Product
I, voyager
Poison godmachine
Dead Heart In A Dead World
Born (The Retribution of Spiritual Sickness)

too bad they only got 30 minutes.

and then Arch Enemy came on. I'm not really into them but I recognized a few songs. "Dead Eyes See No Future", "Burning Angel", "We Will Rise", "Bury Me An Angel", and "Ravenous"... by the time they were on, I was being crushed by the crowd behind me and my body started aching and I don't know them very well so my headbanging got calmer. and then faggot asshole behind me started elbowing me in the fucking ribs so he can steal my first row view

after they went off-stage I went to the bathroom and bought a bottle of water and left after one Chimaira song because I don't listen to them wasn't digging what I was hearing.

four bands touring, Hate Eternal and Nevermore opening, Arch Enemy and Chimaira headlining. $20!! my ears are now ringing especially my right one because of the damn stage monitor

anyway, pics.

Hate Eternal

Nevermore!!!!!!!!!!!

I got closeups of Steve Smyth (guitarist) and Warrell Dane (vocalist) but not enough Jeff Loomis (Other, better guitarist)

Arch Enemy

sorry, no Chimaira pics.

So uh... it looks like there's about 12 people in the entire crowd

no, that was between sets and it was after Arch Enemy played so people started leaving. I left after Arch Enemy too. I was in the very front row the whole time so I didn't take pictures of the crowd. after Arch Enemy I went to the bathroom and went in the middle and people were just starting to come back the crowd area so there weren't much people when I took that picture.

trust me, during Nevermore and Arch Enemy's set it was so fucking crowded I thought my pelvis was gonna break into pieces it was even hoter and sweatier than the Children of Bodom concert I went to last year.

That's a lot of hair.

What's with the deer-in-the-headlights picture at the end?

No meeting with the parents, Huh? Some of those are some good action pix.

Video or not, most artists don't like those camera flashes.

Too bad he isn't taking care of it; or that's just a LOT of sweat (more than even I do!). That, and it has those tone-sucking EMG's.
