Oh man, that was fucking intense.

So im sleeping and I hear this scrambling coming from my guinea pigs cage. I wake up, turn on the light and check him out and he's fucking doing circles with his body scrambling around. It was the weirdest must non-understandable behaviour I have ever seen in an animal.

I picked him up and his body was curled and he was flipping around with his eyes wide open, and it would'nt un-curl so to say.
So im trying to straighten him out and im thinking that maybe his back is fucking broken or some shit! so im trying to feel his spine while he's freakin out and its about 3 minutes now so im getting concerned.

I thought he was going to die right then and there in my arms, and I was like "I really don't need this fuckin shit right now!"
If he wasn't going to come out of it, I would have had to kill him to put him out of his misery or somethin!

So after about 5 minutes or so, he starts to come out of it, and just sits there like nothin happened.

I gotta bring this guy to the vet I guess. But yea, really fucking weird when you see an animal that your pretty close to you, start to have a fucking heart attack/siezure.
lmao, that was insane, ok.. now back to bed..

That's a helluva way to start the day. I've seen cats freak out and it aint pretty. Fills me with sadness to see animals in distress.

we found a dog once that had seizures, it sucked watching it. i think there is some medication you can give them to help (at least i think so for dogs)

My dog had a seizure the morning of the day he died.. it was pretty bad, I couldn't really do anything so I just put the blanket over him and when he stopped he just looked around like "WTF was that?"

I've had mild seizures twice. Once I collaplsed walking out of an office, the other time I was laying in bed semi- delusional.

It leaves a strange taste in your mouth.

I was at the hospital with my grandpa when he had a seizure midsentence... weird fucking thing and distressing even for a 17 year old used to having her grandpa in and out of the hospital.

All of my dogs have had a seizure once or twice in their life. It's weird, you can't really do anything.

there was this girl I had PE with. she was epileptic.

kinda strange watching her twitch.

but I could have watched her forever. Not because it was entertaining (which it was) but because everytime she had one, I just couldn't stop myself from watching.

Worst experience I had was when my cat took on a racoon... he won... but was missing a nice chunk of flesh from his chest. The worst part about it, actually... was what my cat did to the Vet when he was being examined.

Actually... scratch that... he had appenicitis(sp?) and couldn't eat or drink for 4 days. Nearly died... IV drip for 3 days, and antibiotics nursed him to health... but he still fucked up 2 vets when they tried to diagnose him.

Mmm, bacon.

Yeah, my friends brother is epileptic and I remember him telling me of when he was only 5 or 6 and hearing his brother have a seizure but being too terrified to do anything about it. It makes me think of when my dad has insulin reactions and how scared I get from those. He used to get them bad all the time, had it in control for a couple years, and the past two years he's had really really bad ones where I've had to call 911. Its a strange feeling when you're holding you dads hand on the floor as he's seizing uncontrollably. Its even weirder how much I take until I crack and just bawl my eyes out.

He had multiple ones last night.

I've made the decision to put him down if it continues, that and if the vet has no idea whats causing it, or it will cost me like 300$ for medication.
Im taking him tomorrow, so I'll update this thread with what happens etc.

Hes a cute little animal, be a shame to put him to sleep, but its better than him suffering for the rest of his life.
