What's with the ON/OFF Reboot button and all the transparencies?

i could have sworn they werent plannin on an os and shutdown all rumors about it..

they made an OS based on Linux and have been screwing around with it internally.

It's more like, they have a costumized Linux distro of their own. You can't buy it, but you can buy appliances(servers, that might only search?) that have it preloaded.

ya google denied making an OS, although i did here they are doing a customized linux distro. i think google should enter the OS market though. It would be interesting to see how well they would do against M$ and Apple

until a version of the big software packages (office, photoshop, quicken) goes out for linux i dont think any OS will ever compete with apple/microsoft. yeah linux has the equivalents of them but business and logistics make it nearly impossible to migrate over to them.
