Grass city is pretty nice, personally I don't order any of my personal peices online. a few of my friends have places orders for customer peices, but they have connections with some of the blowers who are on glasspipes.org, and even then they all spent $300+ on them to be custom blown to there spec's.

I however haven't dropped that kind cash on anything yet, I may have something done for me when they come back to the city, but until then I’m content with what I have, I would rather spend the extra $20 or so its going to cost to get something locally and be able to really see and feel it and make sure its nice an good quality, I know a few people who have bought stuff online and when it arrived it was crap, very thin glass being the biggest problem. My hammer has taken its fair share of falls and is still intact, most cheap pieces won’t make it past there first.

Plus there is also the risk of it being broken on arrival and having to deal with shipping it back and everything, unless your looking to spend $300 plus, I don’t think all the risks are worth the little bit of $$ you’ll save, go to a headshop and find something you like.

If you really want to get something online you can spend a good chunk of change on something like a ROOK, then you’re assured its good quality, but I would bet that you can find something just as nice in a local headshop for cheaper./

lol, thats funny because I haven't played chess in years, but there's this cute girl from work who had mentioned to me that she didn't know how to play chess and I half jokingly told her I would teach her some time, then when I was with her at the bar this weekend she drunkenly told me she wanted to come over "so I could teach her how to play chess"... at 3 am :P

ROOR’s, are nice, but I wouldn’t spend the money on one either, again, rather just go to a local headshop and find something I know I’d like rather then pay the premium just to know its not crap so I can order it online.

That bong however I wouldn’t get. Something that big for $30 its going to be pretty cheap, it will break really easy, for all intensive purpose’s it will work fine, but if you knock it over, or bang it at all cleaning it or whatever, its likely to break. And be realistic, the entire time its around it will be around high people, something stupid is bound to happen: P

but I wonder if the size on the site is even accurate. Or if the picture is wrong. Because if it's 46.5 cm, then it's about a foot and a half right?

well, look how small the base is compared to the heigth. That would leave the base no more than an inch off the ground...

this is the dillemma with ordering online. I'd have to order it to figure out how big the base really is...

but, $30 is a hell of a price. Could turn out to be a decent quality bong.

ya, but thats the whole thing, I would rather go to a headshop and spent $45 to go and get a bong I know for sure its going to be nice and get to pick exactly what I want rather then take the pretty likely risk that what I get will be crap or have it break right away or not be what i was expecting.

i've never tried a roor, but i have some buddies down in california who swear by it. there's all kinds of extra gimmicks... mesh in the bowl so no ash gets in the water, dual chambers...thingy so you can put ice cubes in the neck. i know i'd like to try it.

I've smoked out of no-name bongs and several Roors. Honestly, didn't make a huge difference to me.

My friends have a shitload of ROOR bongs. And then they have this Sour bong that the guy got for 1.5g of weed. I prefer smoking out of the Sour bong more than any of the others.

RooR = over rated.

And what's the deal with ZOBs? I heard they're the same company as RooR (just bigger), but then I heard that they're a knock-off and much lower quality. Anyone know?


edit: ice bongs ftw. you can find them anywhere under any brand too. But smoking with it full of ice is so nice.

i've never been a fan of any "name brand" Paraphernalia, with the exception of my sweet leaf grinder and rizla papers of course :P

i'd rather get something from a blower that knows what he's doing and not only get something thats good quality, but also one of a kind, rather then spend ton's of money to have a name brand bong...
