Well.. its that time of the year again, and final projects are upon us ... im taking asp.net this semester, so its a web based project. With the secret santa running here, and an idea from my girlfriend, I decided to do a secret santa organizer. Basically, it acts alot like fantasy football, except wihtout the selecting of players. Users can register / login if they already registered, and then from there they can create/join a SS already created. If they create one, they'll be able to set things such as cut off date for registration, size limit (if any), maximum gift value, join password, select if they want to be a part of the SS, etc.

After that, they can automate the SS which assigns all the users another person. From there, whoever is a part of that specific SS, can login, and check on the status of it, and will the person they have assigned, and they will that persons name, (shipping address dependant on type of SS setup), their interests, etc. Whatever they need to know about the person to get a good gift for them, and get them that gift.

Now each user can create/join as many SS's as they want. They can also update their profile, and change passwords, etc.

Is there any key components that anyone can think of that I've missed? Lastly, here's a layout of what the page will look, now I just have to go and slice it up and code the asp :\

oops nevermind didnt read your second paragraph right

what about a SS clues feature...after the SS present has been recieved they can try and guess who it was based on a set of "clues" that person gives for their profile. i guess that only works if your trying to keep EVERYTHING secret even up to the gift giving...
