Drum machine program

Does anyone here know of a good, free drum program. My drummer is out of town for the week, and while we can't really do specific songs accurately, my friend and I would still like to jam. I used to have an old Roland drum machine that did the job nicely, but that is out of commision, as it was dropped out of a moving car.

My friend Ben's van didnt have the safest doors, and he likes to overload it i.e like 12 people, while nobody fell out, my drum machine, which he was borrowing, did. It wasn't that big of a deal, I had picked it up at a garage sale a few years back for like $10.

I've heard good things about Fruity Loops as far as drum looping go, but I don't really have much experience with it. There seems to be a big learning curve with it.

Thanks, but I was looking for a freeware program, as I really dont feel like pirating anything for this, and I would also like to keep it for more than the trial period.

Here are some other program links I got from another forum. Be forewarned, I haven't tried any of these, but the general consensus out there is that FL > all. Just grab a torrent.

Thanks, that SequBeat from neztech.com was just what I was looking for, a simple drum machine. I think I might run it through my PA on ly laptop for the time being.

Yeah, as previously stated, I would like to have one for longer than the trial period of Fruity Loops, which is a good program, but it costs way more than my budget of $0 allows.
