fag....

War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse. The person who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself.
John Stuart Mill (1806 - 1873)

I don't even want to go up into the spare room upstairs. If it were up to me....it'd all go in the trash, but , you know, the wife...

Cleaning out old stuf is easy, in my book, you just toss it.

dammit!!! I'm about out of aluminum foil! Yup...."brix shall be shat".

The hard part is to just do it without thinking about what it is you're throwing away. The wife, thinks that "I'll need it someday". That's funny, she has done without it, as it's boxed up in storage, for eight years or longer, what exactly will there be to miss? Me, I just get a garbage bag and start stuffing it. She won't let me clean the closets.

You shoulda watched the CBS Sunday Morning News Show (not really news, just more offbeat stories). They had a guy who had started his own cleaning company a long time ago (now a millionaire) and they take care of clutter in ppls house. He gave his ideology on how to get rid of it. Pretty kewl.

"As you can see, I've memorized this utterly useless fact long enough to pass a test question. I now intend to forget it forever. You've taught me nothing except how to cynically manipulate the system. Congratulations."

mistawiskas, I do the exact same thing every time I move

After moving 3 times in 2 years, I basically have accumulated little to no shit, and I can have all my stuff packed in 3-4 hours now if I really kick it into high gear and rush. The first time I moved I spent DAYS sorting through all the crap I didn't need, there was a lot of garbage afterwards

I run through this drill will my family regularly:

1) Does this item have sentimental value?
2) Have you touched it in the last year?

No, and no? Then we're getting rid of it. As a result I could probably have my house packed up to move in a single day. Everything is stored in those big plastic tubs too.

I donate what I want to get rid of.......

Everything I have can be packed up in 4-5 hours flat - and that taking my time......

I am me, and nobody else can be me, except for myself or I, but neither of them are here right now so leave a message.....
