I dont know what speed they increased me to, but after doing numerous speakeasy tests throughout the past week my speeds are maxing the bandwidth tester (10+Mbps)

Using newsbin im fluctuating between 7Mbps and 11mbps, so theres no definate way to tell right now.

So who here has recieved the comcast broadband upgrade? Im guessing the switchover has given us some great benefit.

If so, you have any details on it because im afraid to call and ask they might be like "wtf, were gonna have to look at your account, im sorry your not supposed to be uncapped like that" "poof! gone"

and are there any longer running bandwidth testers worthwhile?

Congrads, I have Optimum Online Boost

All I see is a black hole, and sooner or later they’re going to suck each one of us into it. But when they come for me, I'm going to take as many of them with me as I can.

God damn!!!

Unfortunately I live in a small town and broadband is only offered by two companies, charter (which at most I can get is 3MB/256) and at&t dsl which is what I have and I'm limited to 3MB/512)

Sucks to be me.

even though i HAVE to have comcast internet, I hate comcast. I will always hate them for destroying TechTV. i wouldn't worry about the speeds you are getting torx 'cause you should be getting up to 12Mbps with comcast.

and damn scrubbin! lucky guy...

Frankly, I can't imagine how I would use that much bandwidth. I get speeds similar to ivwshane and that suits my needs and more, and I use torrent, etc.

You would think so but having a high upload speed allows you to do so much!! With my connection I can barely stream music and video to my phone! Imagine being able to watch live tv from work with just an internet connection.

Yeah I'm using orb.

And just when I get everything all setup and running great, it turns out that orb needs a more powerfull system than the one I have in order to stream live tv

our house has two internet connections. one is cable and its 3mb/1mb and the other is dsl at 10mb/0.8mb. both are fine but the one with 10mb down has shitty upload. not bad for $40 a month for the 10mb down. the 3mb is $56

Eh, 1086/386 here on Qwerst. But really, don't download any larger files than WoW patches and torrents that download over several days anyways, so it works out.

Besides Comcast still sucks dick with their download caps to deter file sharing.
