alright, well by now you should know that "ice" has been found on mars and the latest discovery of water.. but now theres controversy of what is IN the water.

Phoenix has Found Something More Compelling than Water: President Bush Informed | astroengine.com

we wont know until mid-late august.
nasa knows but has to go through the white house filtering system in order to figure out how to keep the population dumb.

whats the point of space exploration if every discovery is going to be censored?

what do you think about this..

I think that to some degree keeping it hush-hush is a good idea. I'm surprised that they even said that they found something....

But in general I'm just as curious as everyone else when it comes to that stuff and I want to know right away.

Man hasn't even been to the moon yet so space exploration is quite limited to machinery for MANY lives to come.....if we even live that long....

Unless some aliens just pop in - show us how to survive in space and send us on our way....

It goes right along with the premise that they only want us to know what they want us to know. They probably found sea monkeys or something.

Say goodbye to our beloved planet. Because there is
alot more money to be made in emitting greenhouse
gasses, than curtailing emissions.

Get out of the box, then recycle it.

I bet they found something along the lines of the common cold, which would link are evolution to mars or something like that. If they say in the press release that they have found evidence of life on mars it will sure throw some religious fanatics into a frenzy. Don't certain religions believe life is only on are planet earth?

No way. The extreme environment in space (cold, radiation, etc) would have killed / destroyed anything on the lander. Which itself was constructed in extreme clean conditions.

I am still waiting on ONE credible reason we were not.... besides, why would I be upset? I'm not some conspiracy nut job.

On this topic, I do believe this whole thing is against what NASA was founded on. They were founded with the intention of 100% of the findings becoming public knowledge.

I'm just a measly truck driver so I can't prove one way or the other. I know that airline pilots have to checked up on all the time to see how much radiation they have absorbed flying as much as they do and when they've reached a certain point they are grounded for life........ All of the doomsday stuff about if the ozone collapses we'd be like ants under a magnifying glass....what would prevent them from getting all of that radiation in space where there is no ozone?.... the space station isn't even all the way in space either...I forget technically where it's orbit is at....
