Well, I have some money and I need a CD player for my room. I don't need anything large. I would like to get some tower speakers and a cd player, but that's a little too expensive I think...

But, I found this looking through Walmart.com and I thought it wouldn't be too bad. It has a MP3 Player that you can use with or without it...

This is it

It isn't great or anything, just something simple. Better than listening to the music off my computer speakers (5.1). So if anyone can help me find something better (decently priced) please help.

Would applified speakers for your PC be out of the question? You could get a nice Klipche 2.1 setup for less than $150 and the sound would kick the shit out of that bookshelf system.

If you do decide on a bookshelf system, you could do better for the money. That 128MB MP3 player with it is a gimmick. I wouldn't wipe my ass with 128MB these days.

I've never liked any RCA product.

Here are a few random ones from brands I prefer, around your price range. I don't know anything about any of them though... I had a friend with that Sony with the blue woofers and sub, it was ok... God mini systems these days are ugly.

No thanks. I'm sorry, but those aren't as good as my Logitechs atm. And, I want something louder that I can move around and not have to be attached to my computer.

If anything i'll wait and save some money for a decent pair of speakers with a good cd player.

All I see is a black hole, and sooner or later they’re going to suck each one of us into it. But when they come for me, I'm going to take as many of them with me as I can.
