Yeah, when we were kids you could go to a toy store and buy a toy gun that looked like a GUN. How often did you hear about school shootings? Never. Now they won't even play a commercial where people pretend to shoot each other in a tongue-in-cheek way?

I think where the PC movement goes off the track, is when they twist the freedom to BE offended, into some sort of right to force others not to offend them.

The problem with this is, of course, that eventually you will be the offending one. Freedom of Speech is ESPECIALLY for when the speech is unpopular and/or offensive to the majority. Protecting it, and our other freedoms, is what keeps the US from becoming the Tyranny of the Majority, such as the Shiites are trying to gain in Iraq right now.
