all i can say is wow. Just amazing how close they get on some of this footage. Watching packs of wild dogs chase impala's and how they plan out there attack. I highly advise everyone checking this out, will be aired on Sunday nights at 8pm, but im sure you can catch repeats during the week on discovery HD, if you have not, if not its on Discovery as well. And Ripley (sigourney weaver) is pretty good as the narrator, i didnt think i would enjoy her but i did.

Here is a trailer, not the best quality but you can get an idea.

I downloaded the original version produced by the BBC. It had a british guy doing the narration. Great show though, one of the best ones ive seen.

I have it all on my DVR, I caught part of it and it's amazing. The African dogs hunting those Impalas was awesome.

yea, those dogs where just crazy. I thought it was cool how they waited for the impala while it was swimming, then they found out one had been killed and they all went away.

btw, I caught it at the dog scene as well.

They aired 3 episodes on sunday, Pole to Pole, Mountains, Deep Ocean.

I know if you have HD, discovery has been airing them almost every day at some time. But i would also check regular discovery for the show. Maybe even ondemand.

I've seen the entire BBC series by the same name (12 parts) narrated by David Attenborough. I wonder if this is the same footage with new narration? If not I'll have to check this out because the the British series was spectacular.

Same footage, it was produced in collaboration with the BBC, but the Americans get Sigourney Weaver.

The BBC one looks to be on all the major torrent sites. Search for "bbc planet earth"

The BBC DVD set has been out for a while over here, I think I bought it last year. I don't usually watch this sort of thing but it's a spectacular series.

yea, i dled these when they were on the bbc, so when i saw this i was like wtf, that's not an old british guy narrating. it's strange they use the same footage and script but change the narrator.
