Thinking about taking my boyz to one. Was wondering what it's like?

This is the place. Canyons of Frisco

Fun for kids I'd think.

I thought it was good exercise but a bit of a novelty... Plus there are all these pros there usually and so you may feel like you're making fools of yourselves.

I don't think it was expensive at all. So I'd say go for it. Maybe it'll be you're kids' new hobby, or at least a cool skill they can pick up quickly, being young.

it's a pretty sweet place. a good friend of mine works at one so i get to climb for free. one thing's for sure, it's a hell of a workout. i'm in pretty good shape and my arms/hands were spent after about 45 minutes. not to mention my fingers were raw from all the gripping.

it's definitely a full body workout and it's pretty damn safe too. i recommend it.

I've done it before and loved it. If one were closer I'd go all the time.

It's alot of fun. Also, you'll see how truly in shape you are or aren't. It's fun for that "Gut-check" we all need from time to time.

I think one of the great problems we have in the Republican Party is that we don't encourage you to be nasty. We encourage you to be neat, obedient, loyal and faithful and all those Boy Scout words, which would be great around a campfire but are lousy in politics.

Canyons of Frisco sounds like the title of a gay porno.

LMAO.

Rock climbing is not for me. It's all I can do to get up a 28 foot extention ladder.

Gym climbing is fun, but it is nothing compared to real rock Give it a try though, it is a great sport.

It is tough work no doubt. Tip, focus on your legs more. They are much stronger than arms, if you can get a solid foot hold, you'd be amazed at how little you need to hold your hands on to balance and push up the wall.

i realized that as i was climbing, the getting really tired part actually came from trying to do overhangs and things like that. i actually like bouldering more than just climbing. it's so much more technical

I've done that before with a few friends. It was a ton of fun, and it really gave me a good workout. There are diffferent levels of difficulty and it's easy to get good at.

Only rock climbing I ever did, was up at Detroit Resevoir, between Salem and Bend Oregon. We, my budies and I, found some frigging huge pools of water past three waterfalls on this feeder creek. They had to be 15 feet deep and they were full of big trout.....we're talking BIG! 25-36 inch fat rainbow trout. It was the only thing that could get me to cling to rocks by my fingernails. One part was at least a 50 foot drop, but the fishing was phenominal....the stuff dreams are made of.
