| So i took my other sks apart to get the chosmoline off it. i dunked everything metal into a tub of kerosene and put it outside to avoid the smell indoors. Problem is it rained over night, and i think some of the water got in because when i took the parts out the chosmoline was off but now there were rust spots on most of the parts. What should i use to get the rust off ? did i mess up the rifle should i scrap the whole thing now or what ? |

| My E-Penis Is HUGE | Simple, non toxic and good rust remover: 1 lit water 50 gm citric acid add some ammonia 25%,solution pH mus be 3,5! (80 C temp., cold solution works too,but slow). Good luck! I got that off google from someone who had rust on their shotgun |
| All I see is a black hole, and sooner or later they’re going to suck each one of us into it. But when they come for me, I'm going to take as many of them with me as I can. | |

| Jolly Bolly Fo-Folly | Just use steel wool and a diesel or gas liquid. Get a gun cleaning kit, and use the gun oil in there. Thats great for keeping rust off, and will help keep the gun clean longer after firing. Well somewhat. |

| Globe Trekker | Yeah, the only real danger with rust on a gun is when it's left that way for a while and a significant amount has oxidized. A little rust overnight is no big deal. |

| Jolly Bolly Fo-Folly | "Oh no, my guns are ruined....!!!!" Ive seen some really rusted out guns before be polished up and look good as new. Just make sure to use a gun cleaning kit, they really are nice, and if you care about your gun, use it after every session. |

| outside the box! | 00 steel wool, nothing more, nothing less is required. It'll come off reall easy. if you're going to reblue, you need to do that anyhow. |
![]() unfortunately, it's a fact that there exists "an inconveinient truth". Get out of the box, then recycle it. | |

| Habitual line stepper | Try Naval Jelly. The slide in my carb was rusty, and that fixed it, it works perfect now. |
