| Habitual line stepper | I managed to ge a hold of the phoenix BIOS loader, I used a friends chip to give me acces to my HD, I copied over Phoenix and EvoX, and it all works fine until I take the chip out. I signed Phoenix's xbe with the (xbedump)font thingy, then put bert and ernie in the font folder. It should work, wtf is going on. PS the red light turns on before the MS intro is even done. Someone help me out, please! |

| Raptor Jesus | Damn, that sucks The only advice I can give is to restore the harddrive, and grab yourself a chip.. (I recommend Xecuter 3's). -Chris |

| Habitual line stepper | I might have figured it out, I have the 5960 dashboard build, and phoenix only supports up through 58xx. I need to downgrade my dashboard. Anyone know where I can get an old(old) slayer's disk? or just a copy of the c: ? |

| Dont mess with old school | I don't understand, I thought the whole point of the chip is to let you run unsigned code and therefore requires you to have the chip in all the time to access the dashboard? |

From there, I can install Phoenix Bios Loader which allows you to load a bootable from media bios, which will allow me to run unsigned code, without the chip. My problem is, is that MS changed their dashboard so that Phoenix wouldn't work. My only choice is to downgrade to an older dash so I can use Phoenix. | |

| Raptor Jesus | I'm not sure if #xbins on Efnet carrys older MS BIOS's on their FTP, but lemme see what I can dig up.. I may be able to just transfer the BIOS from my C: and send it to you.. I know mines older. Then all youll have to do is FTP it to your C: with the chip installed. -Chris |
