I got a ps2 slimline, and i want to connect my sagestar VGA BOX to it so i can play on my monitor. It got a normal component cable basically going in the box and a power cable using the memory slot.

This unit doesnt work on my ps2 slimline, and because i doubt that the av cable got rejected or whatever, i just think that the memoryslot of my ps2 doesnt give the needed amount of amps or voltage for this vga box to run, unlike the old ps2s.

I opened the memory card thing of this vga box and only 2 pins are connected so something so i'm pretty positive it only uses the power normaly from the memory slot.

if you look at the pins in the memory slot

only pins 3&4 are connected (when measuring the location inside the ps2 with a multimeter it gave me 3.4 volts so might that be too low or is the amperage limited).

Now i dont know why the slimline ps2 doesnt give it juice, but i basically want to stop using the memory slot and just attach a dc adapter.

I just need to know what voltage/amperage ac adapter do i need to create/buy so i can use this vga box.

Sorry for my spelling its half past 3 in the morning ^^
