| Junior Member | I got a ps2 slimline, and i want to connect my sagestar VGA BOX to it so i can play on my monitor. It got a normal component cable basically going in the box and a power cable using the memory slot. This unit doesnt work on my ps2 slimline, and because i doubt that the av cable got rejected or whatever, i just think that the memoryslot of my ps2 doesnt give the needed amount of amps or voltage for this vga box to run, unlike the old ps2s. I opened the memory card thing of this vga box and only 2 pins are connected so something so i'm pretty positive it only uses the power normaly from the memory slot. if you look at the pins in the memory slot | |__| | |__| | | 1_2__345___678 only pins 3&4 are connected (when measuring the location inside the ps2 with a multimeter it gave me 3.4 volts so might that be too low or is the amperage limited). Now i dont know why the slimline ps2 doesnt give it juice, but i basically want to stop using the memory slot and just attach a dc adapter. I just need to know what voltage/amperage ac adapter do i need to create/buy so i can use this vga box. Sorry for my spelling its half past 3 in the morning ^^ Last edited by Zetsumei; 06-01-2007 at 07:38 PM.. |
