Hi there. I hope you can help me. I have a PS2 with a 400C laser unit. It was unable to read any discs at all. I cleaned the blue lense on the laser, and the system started reading blue discs and CDs. However, it would not read the silver PS2 games. I have about 15 of those, and it wouldn't read a single one. Yet, when I put a blue disc in, it read that immediately. It seemed like I should go through the entire guide and make all the adjustments. So I followed the guide, adjusting both the radial and tangential skew, one first, all the way through, then the other. I actually clicked into each tooth on the white gear, and after reseting to the marked starting point, adjusted the radial skew through about 45 degrees on either side of where the screw was originally located. Still no good. It seems odd that the laser should be able to read a blue disc and a music CD, but not a DVD or silver PS2 game disc (I think they are both DVDs, right?). I did measure the resistance across the laser coils--it turned out to be 4.5 ohms, just as it was supposed to be--and the system does read blue game discs and music CDs. Anyone have a suggestion as to what I might try next? TIA
