[Scratchy]

Hello there, Ive recently been having a few problem with my PS2, and had managed to fix them, but now i'm stuck and thinking whether to sell or throw my computer away, it's so frustrating, u'll see why now, well it goes lyk this; First of all, the on/off button found on the back of the comp had broken, so I got a friend to let me have the one out of his spare, and I inserted that in no problem
Then I found I had yet another problem!The silver power strip had come out of its port! This was really really tricky, but with some persistence..success!!
So when I turned my comp back on, all excited thinking everything was fixed, ready to play sum Pro Evo (I have not been paid to say that), I was hitting the start key and the pad just wasnt working!!At this point I was really fustrated, so once again,I opened up the console and I found the controlled port had come out of its socket!I have tried EVERYTHING, wedging it in,clipping it in!What can i do??Is there kind of modification I can make to plug the controller in elsewhere! I just really dont wanna throw it away now after i've done all that work, it seems like such a small problem!

You can buy replacement controller ribbons and controller ports for it. Not sure this advice will help just thought I would let u know
