ps2 dvd tray opens but doesnt close

hello if have the following problem

When I push the eject button the dvd tray opens but when I push the eject button again the tray doesnt close.

Also my dvd lens does not seem to read any dvd or cd its like the dvd motor isnt working properly.

Can anyone help me with this?

I found out what was wrong with the dvd tray it seems that the bottom where the track is was damaged so the closing mechanism could not close is
