ps2 contoller problem

my ps2 is able to start games and it works perfectly well, but my controllers dont. i am able to use the analog sticks, the start button, and the select button, but besides that, none of the buttons work. i dont know if its a problem with my controllers (both did the same thing) or my ps2. help if you can.

Same shit happened to mine a few weeks back. Pissed me off becuase it was my favorite controller. It was all broken in and nice and everything and then the fucking buttons die.

I think its becuase I dropped it and threw it around so many times. I took it apart, looking for any kinds of problems with the wiring, etc, and could find nothing. In the end I took a brand new one and swapped out the internals, so that I could have my working, broken in controller still working.

Point being is that you should take it apart, check the wiring, check the plug as well on the opposite end for debris, etc, and clean it up. Thats really all you can do.
