| Junior Member | Hi there - I am a new user of this site I have recently bought a ps2 which is giving me disc read error messages although it did briefly work I am opening it up to try and fix it It is a version 4 with the 8 screws when I open it and get to the laser cover I undo the 4 small screws but it still seems affixed in some way I dont want to force it and break anything so any suggestions please as to how it comes off ? |

| Guest | mine has these little tabs holding it in there. They aim downward into the cd drive and I got mine out by pushing on one side, then the other. |
