Hopefully, its safe to post this.Ive searched for this problem everywhere and could find nothing.

My PlayStation 2 turns on, but after 5-10 minutes it will turn itself off and the power light flashes red. What is wrong?

I have been told to get new ac adapters but ive purchased two of them and the problem persists!

What model is your Playstation 2? The number should be on the backside of the unit.

Ok,the model # is "scph 30001 r"or something to that extent.

I tried to see if I had to cool it down so I left it alone for a little while and then tried it later and it was running fine for almost an hour but im not sure if it would have happened later.

if you suspect a cooling issue, maybe you could check the place on which you put your console. Is it getting too hot?

(shouldn't be the problem, but we never know)
