| Junior Member | Hi, I just got a replacement laser and my ps2 version is one of the oldest ones. I installed the laser and it didnt read any DVD original games. It read CD's fine so i started adjusting...i adjusted the white cog, skrew on laser unit and finally as a last resort started playing with the pot. I know this is not advisable but i ran out of ideas. I have a multi metre but i do not know which setting to use when mesuring the current or resistance or whatever im supposed to be measureing from the pot. If someone could advise me on what setting i should set my multi metre to and what i am supposed to be measuring (current etc) i would be very grateful. Also my ps2 is modded. Shouldnt new lasers come preset? Thanks |

| Junior Member | The laser i have purchased is a KHS-400B. It does say on the website that it will not work for a modded PS" but i have also read that this is not the case and it is more something to cover their back. Can anyone confirm whether this works on a modded ps2? Thanks |
