Might be the video cable but last time i had it all hooked up, it was fine.

I can hear sounds from pushing buttons and doing things but no video out
Any other tests i can do to find out if its the video cable?

Other than try it on a different TV? No not really. You can buy DC RF cables for like £3 from game shops anyway. Better yet, get a scart plug for it off eBay

eBay: Sega Dreamcast FULL RGB SCART LEAD/Cable BRAND New (item 320067440912 end time Jan-04-07 14:52:42 PST)

Yea sometimes happens to me. Wiggle the connector on the back of the DC to fix it, this also happens with my ps2.

btw, what games are you playing right now torx?

We should both start some skies of arcadia, post the occasional screen shot or something from a digi cam and see who can beat it first I'd start over if you did.

The dreamcast is incredibly easy to take apart, all you need are two sizes of phillips screw drivers and common sense.

I would take it down to the logic board, no where NEAR as hard as the ps2, and just check the connection and make sure all the copper points are still soldered to the board.
If not, do some fine soldering yourself.

If you don't want to take it apart, I would suggest just to tru another cable, just to eliminate the possibility of it being the cable in the first place.

If none of that works, your only next logical step is to ebay and see if you can buy another.
