Unless your video card has the hardware to measure temperature, theres no way to get software to do it for you. I just went to radioshack and got an indoor/outdoor digital thermometer for a few bucks and put the probe thingy on the heatsink near the core of the GPU. Someone will have to fill you in on if your card has a temp. monitoring chip.

The X800 does appear to support temp monitoring.

after a quick Google I discovered that it can.
Three links down the google you get a PCStats review of an X800xl. The review states that Riva Tuner can monitor the temperature of your card.

I, and many others, I'm sure, would have helped you earlier but the answer was obvious. Use Google next time, if you still can not find the answer then ask here, and state that Google couldn't help you.

ATI Tool -- I use it to o/c and monitor temperatures as well -you can set it up so it sends the temperature to motherboard monitor
