I just got a 97 dodge ram 1500 and alot of the interior parts need replacing. I'm specifically looking the headliner.

I'm just trying to get an overall idea of the price for it and other parts and I prefer to do it online.

So is there any trick to looking these kind of parts up? Searching doesn't reveal too many options.

You should be able to find hundreds of Dodge dealerships online with good prices for OE parts, just look harder

https://www.dodgeparts.com/oe_parts_catalog.html

Here you go

Dealers don't equal an online parts dept. I've tried the link above and they don't have what I need either.

Most parts I find are for performance or enhancing your vehicle.

You said you wanted OEM parts online, I found you OEM parts online. Whether or not you can get OEM headliners for an 8 year old car is another question altogether

I wouldn't consider an OEM headlinder a performance or enhancement part either so what you're saying makes no sense

If you want hard to find OEM parts, call dealerships and try to find someone that knows something about finding parts, not just looking up regular stock numbers. A good parts guy that knows a fucking thing is invaluable.

My point is that most of the websites only have performance parts or things like bed liners or other products that enhance your vehicle.

In my first post I said, "I'm specifically looking the headliner".

Also never specified oem either and I know I could just call dealers to get the part I'm looking for but I was hoping to avoid that.

You are right, my bad.

If it's not possible to find what I want online then that's fine but I figured before I gave up looking I would ask you guys.

just go to a upholstry shop, they wanted $80 to redo mine, i imagine the dealer price will be around the same as getting it done at a shop

If its just sagging fix it yourself. That spray on adhesive is only a couple bucks per can.

OEM parts are hella expensive

Its kind of a decision maker.
If i need something cheap of course imma goto autozone or advance or oreillys.

If i need some very particular that i need the utmost reliability from, i'll goto carquest or NAPA.

everything else, i just buy on ebay because buying from dealership is just TOO damn much.

yea, its pretty cheap, call around dude. I know it sucks and you want a quick online forum answer.. but you need to call and ask in detail. Or else they're gonna be like bring it up here" blah blah bah

If I could I would definitely do it myself. The headliner which I've already removed is a piece of cardboard pressed into the roofs shape. So it's not really the soft outer material I need but rather the hard shaped cardboard piece.

If there was a way to remove the foam and cloth piece that attached to it I could get the headliner material from a fabric shop.
