I bet a US version of the show would have been terrible.

No shit. So many BBC shows don't translate well here. Look at Coupling - that show was hot / awesome on the BBC, but with American actors and writers was horrible. It's like Roger Ebert says about remaking movies - DON'T REMAKE GREAT MOVIES! They're already great, remake the bad ones.

Well considering that Coupling was dubbed "The UKs answer to Friends!", it's kinda weird that you guys took it and made your own version of it!
