Vehicle theft continuing to decline: Financial News - Yahoo! Finance

Quote:
Older model Hondas and Toyotas consistently top the list, because of their popularity and reliability. In other words, there are just a lot of them still on the road, making them a bigger target.
Haha either that or those damn 4 pin locks.. anybody with a set of lock jigglers and an IQ above 75 can figure out how to get a Honda started.. and lol @ bait cars. Have any of you seen that show? Pretty funny, they just leave the keys in the car with the lights on and wait for some retard to come take it.

Good to read theft is going down.

I've been thinking about some kind of hidden kill switch or a GPS tracking system for my car... but haven't really gotten around to doing anything

Shit, if you stole the car, you might as well steal a tank of gas too.

thats what people have been doing here, meaning you must go and pay before you use the pump at some places now. So fucking annoying if you wish to fill your tank right up.

No doubt. I haven't walked into a gas station to pay in probably 10 years.

Credit cards are bad news. I use cash and cash only. No bank accounts neither, just more added hassle to get your own money.

So what happens when you lose your wallet or it's stolen? That seems like a really stupid plan.

I use a card from my bank that is used as a credit card, but still just deducts the funds from my checking. It's free, convenient, and works great. Never let me down.

this day and age its almost impossible to NOT have a credit card, bank account, bank card, checks, etc etc.

unless you plan on moving into the boonies and becoming a hardcore non-consumerist.

so i guess youre getting your paychecks cashed at a grocery store or checks cashing place?? dont they take youre money too?

??

I live in the 3rd largest city in the US and have no problem just using cash.. don't know where you get that from? And the $3 WalMart takes is well worth the hassle of not running into any stupid fees, "oh sorry, even though you have $200 in your account, you can only take out $50 at this point otherwise we'll charge you an overdraft fee, even though you have the money in your account".. fuck that ish.
