Haha, yeah.

Growing up my mom ripped 2 or 3 mirrors off backing out of the driveway into a trashcan. Gave me (still does) leverage when she critiqued my driving.

My mom drove a rally prepped Saab 96 back in the 70's. She is a good driver.

60 bucks shipped, not too bad. Thankfully she didn't damage the part that's painted to match the body.

My girlfriend more so, however, as she was born in Alberta.
Everyone knows people from Alberta can't drive.

Mmm, bacon.

My mom once drove away from a gas pump with the nozzle in her tank, ripped the hose off the pump.

I'm trying to evolve.

That's really really bad man. Only reason is I know this 63 year old guy who has used drugs for the past.. 45 years, heavily. We call him Tweek because he always tweeks out and such, and he did the exact same thing.

I did that once late at night after a long day. I went inside to get something to drink and just straight forgot. It didnt break or anything thank god. Just fell out of the gas tank.

It was still pretty embarrassing.

Ya I still bug her about it. The gas station attendant didn't make a big deal, he said they keep a spare one around because it happens 4 or 5 times a year.

I'm trying to evolve.

I just dont understand how badly some people can drive and continue to drive. Maybe thats why fvcking insurance is so expensive, because of all the dipshits out there that dont know how to drive.

I can understand the mirror thing if you are new to the car. I was driving my dads older surburban, umm 70 something, when I came into a drive through and came to close to one of those big concrete polls they put up to keep cars from plowing into the window. Well the mirror on this thing sticks out almost a foot and a half, and I was watching to my right because there was a fence pretty close. So I misjudged and the damn mirror just popped off, i was going <5mph, the door. I backed up so I could open my door and picked it up then continued on. It looks like it has come off before, but that sucked ass. Thats something I could see if you didnt know the vehicle very well, or hadnt driven it in a while. But to knock off a mirror that is that close to the body just is a hard thing to do. Damn close to body damage there.

I just can't understand why Mazda didn't put collapsable mirrors on the 6. The mirrors on my Honda will collapse both ways, so at most I would have gotten a scratch.

I know she's been beating herself up about it, so I haven't been razzing her too hard. She's made far more expensive fuckups before...

Well, this sucks. The part I bought is NEARLY identical but there are very minute differences to the body colored part and it doesn't fit exactly. It's all the hidden stuff, so tomorrow I'm going to try to dremmel the obstructions away. But more likely than not I'm going to have to get the new part painted. Any idea what that would cost?
