Watch that if you don't know what supermoto is.

I bought this 2002 KTM 200 EXC from my friend. It was stolen ~4 months ago and recovered a couple weeks ago. I've already got the rear sub frame straitened and welded back together from where they looped it doing a wheelie. I threw some Dunlap 773's on it, new grips, ASV levers, and a few other misc parts. This thing runs like a champ! This coming up week hopefully I am going to order new plastics and an air box for it. I've got a job at cycle gear, so now I get a KILLER discount on parts. I'll eventually get it tagged for the street, the KTM EXC/XC series bikes come with a MSO that does NOT say "For off road use only", so there is no problem tagging them (even if it is a 2 stroke).

Here are the pictures from when I got it. I've since stripped the paint off of the front plastics for the time being until I can get some money together and get a new plastics kit.

Here it is with the sub frame straitened.

Now, after a couple of hours with a pressure washer and a razor blade, plus 3 hours of riding today.

I like how your pedal bicycles are sitting in the cornor not being used...I wonder why

EDIT: who painted it like that, was it the theifs or your friend? I remember the worst decision was when i painted the plastics on my old 50cc. I wasn't able to remove all of the paint and had to sell it multicolored

EDIT again: Did you know its very dangerous to run your lawnmower without a discharge cover like that and I don't see a safety handle shut off on it either .

Sorry im really bored tonight!

The thiefs painted it, not my friend. It was in perfect shape when it was stolen. I have not sold the scout, just got a job selling motorcycle parts, so I get one hell of a discount!

Thanks to T.S. Fay, I had some time to work on it today. I've ordered almost everything I need to get it back up and running as a dirt bike. I have a new silencer, radiator braces, all plastics, new handle bars, new seat, and a few other misc parts. My new airbox came in the mail yesterday. I scrubbed and washed everything down while I had it apart. I'll have to do a little bit of work to get it wired up for the street, but I need to find a headlight once

$150 worth of handle bars and clamps.

Some parts. All of my plastics are in there as well as a FMF Turbine Core 2 silencer. Today I got a new SDG seat and a set of Moose Racing radiator braces. I'm still waiting on a few more OEM parts to show up. I need some bolts for the stator cover and a few parts for the exhaust.

EDIT: Pictures would be nice

Parts!

Well, it should be 100% done now. All I have left to do is get myself a headlight for it. I should take care of it this week.

Also, my birthday is on Tuesday, so I got myself a present. Its an Arai VX-Pro 3! Its a $600 retail, but I paid a fair bit under that with a great employee price.

More stuff!!

I've got a 160 Qualifier on the rear now, I may have to go down to a 150 or worst case a 140. I have a little bit of work to do to get the front tire to fit because I have a 20mm axle instead of the newer 26mm, but the rear is right (I just need to touch up the spacer a minimal amount. On Thursday I'll get the front and hopefully take it for a spin!

Well the rear is on. I am just waiting on my metal to arrive to make the new front spacers. I rode it around for a total of around 2 minutes today and already wrecked it... Apparently a Qualifier is no where near as good as a D773 in grass :headscrat

A 160 on a 4.25" rim is about a wide of a tire as can be run on this....

Looks like a lot of fun. I'm tarding a Cannondale MX440R right now. It's just impossible to resist acting like a total hooligan riding around on the street with a motocross bike.

I'm in the market for a helmet. You willing to hook me up on a HornetDS?

Nice, those Cannondales are nice. I can only imagine how much fun this will be on the street when its all done. Unfortunately, I can't get my discount for anyone else. There are only 6 people total working and we are all friends, so it would be hard to buy it for me and send to you as well.

Thats my room mates regal. Hopefully this picture will work.
