I'm trying to make up my mind on if I should sell my jeep and take a loss or not.

Right now I owe about 3 or 4 grand more then what its worth. I have an 03 wrangler with 35000 miles, no proplems at all with it. My problem is that I'm stationed in Gauntanamo bay cuba right now and I'll be here for a nother year but I cant bring my pov here so the jeep is sitting at home back in the states being driven maybe 5 miles a week.
After I leave here I may be going to japan for a few years but I wont find out for a couple months.

I cant decide if I should just keep making the payments and have a nice jeep with low miles payed off with in a few years when I get stationed in the states again. or sell it now and take the loss of 3 or 4 grand. I was just wanting some opinons on this. thanks

I use to be BM

The price with time on jeep will just go down so if you think selling is good then do that ASAP. On the other hand if its in good condition low millage and you don't for see any problem in future paying it off at all and making it your own then i say just keep it you will have some thing of your own to get back to, and with low millage when you back you can trade in for some thing else i think.

Price on jeeps don't go down.... They usually settle around 5k in good condition.

87 Wrangler - 5000
1987 Jeep Wrangler $5000 OBO

98 Wrangler - 9800
Jeep Wrangler 1998 TJ sport

If yours is in real nice condition, I wouldn't sell it. Of course, that is assuming you have a wrangler.

I think with the prices of gas these days anything like that is bound to loose more and more value.

Especially if there is going to be a few more years before hes going to be around to drive it, and if by then gas costs $6 or $7 bucks or something....

So, torture anyone there?
