ive never sold a car before so im preparing to sell my old regal

ive found my title
is there any more documents i need?
im thinking about printing out a "sold as is" that both parties have to sign, or do you think thats overkill?

so ive got a set price, but if anyone really does agree to buy it then what do i do next? am i supposed to get the person to sign the title somewhere?

The as is isn't overkill as it covers your ass. They'll sign the title under the section where it reads "transfer of title".

Take cash only for the car.

You need to put your name and sign the title, and if you want you can make a bill of sale but it's not usually necessary. You don't have to make them sign the title or anything like that in front of you, as long as your signature is on it.

When I sold my 4Runner I had my lawyer uncle write up an agreement, feel free to use it:

This vehicle is sold by Seller to Buyer for the price of _______________, all cash at transfer. Buyer agrees to record this transaction at the Washington State Department of Licensing, and pay all taxes and fees due at that time, and further agrees to hold Seller harmless from any damages, liability or any costs whatsoever levied upon the Vehicle. Seller hereby sells the above described Vehicle on the condition that it is understood that the vehicle is being sold as is, with no warranty expressed or implied.
