the rear is getting narrowed so that the edge of the end caps will be almost flush with the edge of the tool box (the tool box will be semi-permanently mounted)

Now announcing the end of MAJOR operations on the front

I have a total of 8 FEET of tack welds to get the hood welded together right now with another 6-8 to go (filling in the back). I have to finish welding in the light mounts and build another brace or two on the front clip frame. Then its on to REwiring the whole scout (after the rear is narrowed). I also need to order a set of shock towers for the front end (the 10" travel ones I had mocked up were too short, so ill just have to use my PORC 15" ones like the rear.

THE LIST
Front Shock Towers
Front Drive Shaft
Rear Drive Shaft
Seats
Turn Signals in the front
Narrow the Rear
Make new skidplate
Make new rockers (replacing the current body parts)
Make boat sides
Tie Cage into the Frame
Beef Cage Up
New Tires
Mount Steering Column
Mount Steering Box
Make Dragling
Make Steering Shaft
Beef Up Power Steering Pump Mount
Make Rear Traction Bar
Run New Fuel Lines
Make New Intake
Mount Winch
Relocate Battery
Rewire Whole Scout
Front Gears and Locker
Finish Stripping body and New Paint (good stuff this time)
New Shackles and Bushings

Pretty much done, just have to take everything apart, clean it, do some finishing welds and paint it. I also ordered shock towers for the front (same as rears) and new feet for the roll cage so i can tie it into the frame.

rear gears/spool - 100
shock towers - 150
shocks - 120
springs - 40 bucks (used)
spring mounts - 110
power steering conversion - ~200 bucks

I don't understand why you are putting turn signals on it. There's no way it would be street legal without some sort of fender flares covering the tires.
???

Last update for a while, possibly having my appendix removed??

Started on the roll cage, I have about 30 feet of tubing in it so far, guess ill have to buy some more.

Heres the rockers. NO, I am not going to keep those bolts for the cage, I am just using them for now because they are free and will line everything up.

Its been a while...... I havn't done any real work in over a month, but heres what little I have gotten done.

Started On the Exhaust

And installed the Turn signals. They are completly wired and working, now all I have to do is wire up the brake switch.

Hopefully Ill get a bunch of money for my birthday so I will get a good bit more done here in the next month.

EDIT: that is NOT my hat on the hood

Thats what I am down to having to finish before I get it up and running for now. I hope to finish it sometime before this summer.

I put some 4" springs on it.... WAY to stiff. I needed some lift because the pittman arm hits the leaf spring. Ill just cut my old steering box mount off and make ANOTHER new one.

Heres part of the cage tie in. I moved the cage up 3" to get more head room.

this is my "custom" throttle w/ hand throttle, intake, and steering column.

Im not real sure just yet.... We mad the driveshafts in my friends rig (pic at bottom) and had no problem. I will definately make the front. For the rear, I will probably either go with Hi-angle or make my own.
