| Tweak Minion | On my parents 2000 or 2001 avalon XLS the volume knob broke and we got a replacement from Toyota. It doesn't seem to want to go on however. How much pressure should i be applying? Its notched to only go on one way and after lining it up I push on it pretty darn hard. I'm worried about breaking the mechanics of the stereo, thats how hard I'm pushing. Are there any tricks to getting these things on? |

| Senior Member | Probably a press fit, can you somehow support the back of the volume control and press it on good? Make sure it looks like it would fit, you never know, might be the wrong part. |

| Member | It probably has to go on "just right". You might have it a bit off and askew. Take your time. |
