Why would you want to hide it? I thought they were legal? Are they illegal in some states?

Learn something

plus if you get pulled over and the cop sees it he's more likley to give you a ticket.

I make myself laugh.

if your stupid enough to get pulled over with a radar dectector than you deserve a ticket :P

anyways i dont see how you could get one that would be "hidden" as they use lasers and thus without some sort of detection receptor they wouldnt be able to pick up the laser. holds true for radar too actually...they have to have something to recieve a singal. Then on top of that the sound would be muffled being under stuff to alert you of a cop. just seems like a dumb idea all around. if they are illegal in your state just drive safe (obey speed limits and the laws)

Valentine 1 has a re-locater thing that lets you put the radar detector somewhere else than the display unit that tells you bogey count/location. The problem is if you can see the display, a cop may be able to if you're pulled over for something else.

There is also a kit some guy makes (you'll need to search around on Google or something) that lets you put a Valentine-1 into your rear-view-mirror so a small number appears in the corner with the arrows indicating where/how many radar sources are present. This is probably the best option. Valentine 1s are $400 by themselves and the kit is $50-100 I think, but it's the best radar detector on the market (well, under $1000) so I think you'd be happy with the results.

The other option is to integrate a radar detector into your dash or something, but that requires more work.

Around here, the cops don't drive around with their radars on. They just flick it on and off. Usually by the time you get the beep from the detector, its too late, unless you luck out and they're checking the people in front of you.

I've never used a radar detector, but in most cases, i see the cops a long time before they see me (I know all the cars they use around here), i think i've only been caught off guard a couple times.

I've had a few occasions where i wasn't paying attention (rocking out) and the speed got away from me. The closest call, I was doing 85, a cop came ripping up behind me two cars back. I just knew I was getting a ticket. The woman behind me freaked out and kissed a guard rail, so the cop stopped her instead. Other than those times, I try to keep it under 72 mph and sail right past the radar.

unfortunately, it's a fact that there exists
"an inconveinient truth".

Get out of the box, then recycle it.

I have a valentine one mounted above my rear view mirror... Its pretty stealth when you dont have that goofy wire hanging down the center of your windshield and have it hard wired. Saved me several tickets on this last road trip going 90-100 from my house to north colorado non stop. works bitchen and points to the chp's as you pass them on the on ramps and shit
