how much does a lease cost these days?

it always seemed like a hassle to me, can only have so many miles, how do the buying programs work?

""Impossible" is a word that humans use far too often."

hold on, hold on.. i thought youre not allowed to modify leased vehicles?

essentially, you dont own the car, youre merely "renting it".
and what damages incur over time you have to pay out of your pocket at the end of the lease?? excuse me for being thick but i dont know shit about leasing cars.

what happens when you bring it to them with the mods for routine work? I dont understand modding a leased vehicle.

And are the TSX's still FWD?

You can modify a leased vehicle. You basically have two options at the lease end - take off the after market parts and replace with factory parts, or turn the car in with the improvements. For some things the manufacturer might bitch, but in the case of suspension or wheels they won't. Almost all leased vehicles end up at the auction after turn in anyway. As long as it doesn't cause the car to sell for less the manufacturer doesn't care.

Of course you can always buy the car at the end of the lease too.

No one in the service department has any idea how the vehicle is financed. They couldn't give a shit less anyway. Now depending on the mod you could run into warantee issues if you have something fail or go wrong, but shocks and springs are wear items and are only covered for 12k miles anyway.

Like I said, I'm not going to add a supercharger or anything extreme. At the end of the lease if I decide I'm not going to buy the car I'll pull the mods and put back on the factory parts and turn it in. Then I'll sell the mods. It's not a big deal.

And yes, the TSX is still FWD.

Ultimately it would probably be cheaper to buy and sell every few years rather than lease over and over. You'd have to buy nice cars that hold their value well (like your Acura for example), and that initial car would be an "ouchy!". But after that you'd have enough equity in the car to buy whenever you like and keep the payment reasonable. My former father-in-law used to do it that way and had a new ride every two to three years.

If you lease for business it's a whopper of a write off come tax season.
