| Titty Sprinkles | My lease ended on the 20th Anniversary Edition VW GTI. It was a good car but I grew very tired of it. Anyway, the new car is an 08 Acura TSX. I've had it for a few weeks now and so far I'm really liking it. Hopefully within the next 2 months I'll have some new rims and/or some coilovers installed. Only have crappy iphone pics so far, I'll take more soon, once I get the windows tinted. ![]() ![]() |

| El Chupacabra | The TSX is a great vehicle. That car will look much nicer with some shiny wheels and tinted windows. |

| ¡pɹɐpuɐʇs ploƃ | What tough choice? VWs are POSes in the long run. Ah missed that he wasn't leasing this one, was assumed since he leased the last one. If he bought out right it makes a whole lot more sense. |

| Titty Sprinkles | Yes, I'm leasing the TSX. It isn't like rims and coilovers are a huge modification. I'm not supercharging it or anything crazy. If I decide to buy the car at the end of the lease I'll just put back on the original parts before I return it. I can always sell a set of rims and the coilovers and make back part of my money. | Jolly Roger | are you planing on racing it? if you're not you're probably going to be very unhappy with most coil over setup's. I'm not on the up and up with the Honda Scene, but most Japanese coil overs are very very very harsh rides. so much so that they're is alot of debate to weather or not its necessary even for racing applications. Stiff doesn't always equal better, the same can be said for lowering cars. Every single fucking slammed VW on the road handles like ass, granted they did before hand aswell, but the point is that once you lower a car to a certain degree you simply start to mess with the suspension geometry and it becomes counterproductive. You think its better because its harsh and low and you have no body roll, but track it, track times never lie. Ultimately unless you're spending an assload of money on coilovers sleved to you're spec GC and Koni Yellows or Bilsteins will be a better setup(as far as racing is concerned) and you can request whatever spring rate you want. You probably won't be able to get the same "slammed" look a set of coilovers will allow you though. CG + koni or bilsteins is very comon auto-x setup. very customizable. Expect to pay about the same for a setup like this with camber plates as you would an entry level coilover setup like Buddy club/JIC/Tien etc that said, do you really think you would need that? if all I ever use my computer for is to check my email, spendin $4000 on the greatest PC ever isn't going to allow me to check my email any better then my current one. they setup's you're talking about are awesome when it comes to seriously pushing you're car, but if your not doing that you're throwing away money and getting a shitty ride to boot. What about a decent lowering spring that doesn't have to harsh of a spring rate(tien S-tech's come to mind but I don't know what the drop on a TSX is) and KYB's AGX or tokico illumina's? They're both decent shocks, they just won't stand up to constant extreme track environments like a race shock will. It will give you a firmer ride, but not extremely harsh, the car will look just as good, and you can put the money towards a decent set of tires, which ultimately is going to have a greater effect on you're cars overall performance characteristic's Please don't go bigger then 18's Last edited by sims; 11-13-2007 at 11:33 AM.. |

| Titty Sprinkles | I'll probably end up doing some auto-x with this car. I'm not going for the slammed look, just a 1 finger gap all the way around. |

| Jolly Roger | even then, auto-x now and then doesn't really warrant the need for anything serious, you would probably get by just fine on eibach and Tokico's for almost half the cost. Just don't go getting a set of D2 coilovers or something :P Buddyclub or Tien are atleast decent entry level coilovers. if you can afford them and want something nice they're good setup's, just expensive for what the offer and atleast with the teins, a pretty harsh ride |

| Globe Trekker | You're leasing a vehicle? Quadro quoted for quadruple emphasis. Why in the fuck would you lease at all? Much less modify it. The only people I know who lease are driving a vehicle they really can't afford to drive otheriwse. And the TSX is very affordable. My buddy is leasing a BMW 5-series, because he really couldn't afford it. And he let his wife drive it and she tore up the molding on the front already. OUCH! |

| Titty Sprinkles | I lease because I want a new car every 2-3 years and hate dealing with selling a used or trading one in. It also guarantees my vehicles will always be covered under warranty. Could I afford to buy this car - absolutely. But I don't see the benefit to me in buying it versus leasing it. As someone else said, to each his own. |

| Tweak Minion | nice car, looks heavy though, but if you are modding it, make sure you change it back to stock in a couple years when you turn it in |
