A few companies are going to this method on their performance cars. For instance the new Mistsubishi Evo ships with a similar transmission system. Save for the purist who want a manual all of the time, this is a good move as it opens up their market to those who don't want to drive manual all the time as well as makes the car safer at higher speeds as you can keep both hands on the wheel.

many many tests have shown the newest dual clutch systems shift much faster then their manual counterparts so I congratulate this move most companies are making. plus, Formula 1 has been using this type of transmissions for a long time.

Thats not that fast, i think the newest F430 Scuderia shifts in about 0.06 seconds. I know its a more expensive car but still.
