I was on the way back from my girlfriend's house when it rolled over the 130,000 mark. It's not a huge milestone, but I've owned this car for about 6 or 7 years now and have only put 25,000 miles on it in that time. It's still on the stock motor and transmission, although 2nd gear is getting pretty rough these days. Also the clear-coat on the wing, hood, and mirrors is shot. Some day it'll get a new paint job, and transmission, and ... a bigger turbo, intercooler, etc. Maybe I should celebrate with some leaded race gas so I can turn the boost up to 25 PSI again for old time's sake.

I wish my Talon could do this:

It doesn't run 7s though. It only runs 12s (or 13s on pump gas).

I'm Tweak3D's self-appointed mayor.

My friends 87 VW fox just rolled over 1,000,000 km a few days ago. Original engine and tranny too.

I'm trying to evolve.

Hmmmm...my 02 Protege (which I bought with just over 49,000km) is pushing the 85,000km mark. Yes...I've put over 30,000km on it in a year.

My Honda rolled over 3,000 miles in Alabama yesterday. I've never kept a vehicle over 130,000 miles, but I think this one will be the one...

On a related note, a buddy called me today asking how I liked our Mazda 6. Following my advice he ended up getting an Accord.

it's annoying how far you have to drive in Washington State. Unless you make tons of money, it's just not possible to live IN Seattle (or the nicer cities near it). I live in a cheap ass area but still pay $650 a month for a 3 bedroom mobile home. I live with my girlfriend too and she too drives about as far as I do. We priced places close to our work and even the cheapest place was about $1200 a month. It's ridiculous. I have to drive 25 miles to work every day(takes about an hour and a half mind you). so that's 50 miles a day. plus what ever extra miles I do on weekends and such. The miles sure do add up.

I remember when I lived 30 miles from my house to college, then drove another 30 to work, and then another 30 back home. 90 miles at least a day for 2 years...it was nuts.

I live IN Seattle, pay about $900 a month in rent and drive 10 minutes to work, my girlfriend takes the bus for about 15 minutes to her job. It is possible.

Anyways, I just hit 80,000, bought it with 59,000. Driving across the country twice was a big part of that though.
