Personally I wouldn't give you more than $1500 for it on a good day, but realistically probably about $3000-5000 depending on condition. Maybe a little less since it has alot of miles.

I'm asking him what the reserve is. For under $2k it would be a decent car to tool around in on a nice Saturday afternoon. A big V8, t-tops, etc. And since they aren't making them anymore I can imagine they'll start showing up at the cruise-ins.

LT1 Firebirds/Camaros are still decent cars. They fall apart inside, but the motors are stout (same motor as the Corvette from that era, much like the LS1 afterward). They make great power, and respond well to mods. They don't hold value that well, so I bet it'll fetch like $2000-4500 on Ebay. On Craigslist or any other site if it's in good condition it might be at the higher end of that, maybe even $5000-5500 if it's clean enough.

Oh shit that thing has a lot of miles, too. I retract my Craigslist estimate. Ebay gets the real low end of the market... he'll probably get $2500ish

i've always wanted a camaro or firebird. a guy here at work just purchased a hella clean 99 trans am. makes me miss my mustang i had a while back (even though it was just a v6)
