| Globe Trekker | Most reliable new cars named by Consumer Reports - Nov. 9, 2006 Consumer Reports' Most Reliable | 1 | CNNMoney Unless you are buying a large SUV it would appear that General Motors and Chrysler suck donkey dicks. And Mercedes / Volkswagen don’t look like much either. Kudos to Ford/Mercury though, they actually had some models in the "reliable" list. For the most part Honda and Toyota rules the roost…. |

| ˇpɹɐpuɐʇs ploƃ | Not surprising really. Though the fact that the hybrids were deemed more reliable than their traditional siblings wasn't what I would have expected. (Newer tech + More parts = Less reliable usually.) Also, to nitpick: Quote:

| Globe Trekker | Yeah, I was being nice. Chrysler only appeared on the shit list. GM mosty did, with the exception of some large SUVs. |

| outside the box! | The pontiac vibe made a best list, too bad about the solstice though. |
![]() Say goodbye to our beloved planet. Because there is alot more money to be made in emitting greenhouse gasses, than curtailing emissions. Get out of the box, then recycle it. | |

| Hood Rich | Most reliable (Best score first) Honda Fit (pictured)* Toyota Yaris* Honda Civic Hybrid* Toyota Corolla I'd probably walk before I drove any of those cars. The Fit I don't mind, but I think the Yaris is probably the ugliest/cheapest POS I've seen around in a while, regular Civics are okay, Corolla's are for towlies. |

| Not Just Handsome | I have a 97 Camry with over 150k miles on it and it's still going strong. So is my dad's '91 integra. Great engineering. I wish I had an Element though. |

| Senior Member | Consumer Reports' Most Reliable | 10 | CNNMoney WTF Subaru Baha a pickup. I'm not really relying on their information when they pit a Baja against a deisel F-250 |
| | |
| | permanent link to #13 |
| Globe Trekker | Well, technically it is a pickup albeit not in the same class as the F-250. But their picks are made based on reliability data from tens of thousands of vehicles and are pretty impossible to refute. The only fault I see is that they didn't divide the trucks into sub-categories. There's nothing wrong with liking vehicles on the unreliable list, you just can't say you based your decision on reliability. |

| Tweak Minion | its like a subaru el camino or ranchero |

| Globe Trekker | I would LOVE to have an El Camino. Talk about a cool concept. But yeah, not what most people would consider a truck. A truck must have an external bed though, so it's tough to exclude it. |

| Banned | YAY! Subaru Impreza is on the reliable list. I guess their is a reason it is so damn hard to find a used one for sale. EDIT: Wait a minute. Look at the large SUV's list, I thought the Yukon, Tahoe, and H2 were all the same vehicle just different body panels and badges...no? Last edited by Electric_Head; 11-12-2006 at 10:27 PM.. |

| Tweak Minion | yup, same frame and engine, h2 has a different rear axle with a locker though, but wont affect reliability |

| I grew up here | excellent. i've got 4th most reliable in its 'class' |

| Globe Trekker | Obviously something is affecting the numbers. But reliability covers more than just the powertrain anyway. Maybe some of those fancy bells and whistles they put on the H2 are prone to problems. |
